C. elegans were placed on plates containing 50mM or 350 mM of NaCl beginning at the (A) adult stage (day 4 after hatching) or (B) L2/L3 larva stage (day 2 after hatching). Every two days worms were transferred to new plates to separate them from their progeny. Left panels: % of animals surviving.
