Validation of anti-aging drugs by treating age-related diseases

Other genetic factors and environmental factors (e.g., smoking) contribute to specific age-related diseases. Three potential anti-aging modalities (metformin, calorie restriction and rapamycin) all inhibit the TOR pathway.
