Down-regulation of long non-coding RNA MEG3 suppresses osteogenic differentiation of periodontal ligament stem cells (PDLSCs) through miR-27a-3p/IGF1 axis in periodontitis

(A, B) The results of western blot analysis indicated that overexpression of either lncRNA MEG3 or IGF1 promoted expression of PI3K/Akt-related proteins IRS1 and phosphorylated Akt (p-Akt), while agomiR-27a-3p and LY294002 blocked their expression. (C, D) Alizarin Red and ALP staining were also performed to validate this conclusion on cellular level.
