Figure 6. Schematic diagram shows the potential mechanism of SIRT1 overexpression. High-magnitude compression triggered mitochondrial dysfunction and induced NP cell senescence. Overexpression of SIRT1 could alleviate compression-induced senescence by activating mitophagy to eliminate injured mitochondria and retard ROS accumulation.
