Melatonin protects against defects induced by Enniatin B1 during porcine early embryo development

class="figure-viewer-img"

Figure 10. Schematic representation of the protective role of melatonin against EB1 to ameliorate the development competence and quality of early embryos. EB1 destroys nuclear remodeling, triggers apoptosis, disrupts DNA methylation reprogramming and gene expression, and further reduces the cleavage and blastocyst rates and blastocyst cell number of early embryos. Melatonin rescues EB1-mediated development defects and ameliorates the development competence and quality of early embryos.
