Figure 1. Activation of PKC by Cr(VI) in BEAS-2B cells and Keratinocytes. (A) Cells were treated with Cr(VI) (2.0 uM) for different times. Subsequently, PKC expression was tested by immunoblotting. Actin was the loading control. (B) After Cr(VI) treatment for 2 h or 1 month (1M), PKC activity in the cells was analyzed by PKC kinase activity assay. PMA (0.5 μM) stimulation serves as positive control. The error bars represent standard deviation (SD) (n = 5, p < 0.01). (C) Cells were treated as described above and lysates were prepared.
