Epitalon protects against post-ovulatory aging-related damage of mouse oocytes in vitro

class="figure-viewer-img"

Figure 5. Effect of Epitalon on early apoptosis in post-ovulatory aging oocytes. (A) Representative images of DNA damage in the Control, Aged, and Epitalon-treated oocytes. Scale bar: 10 μm (B) Fluorescence intensity of γ-H2AX signals was measured in the Control, Aged, and Epitalon-treated oocytes. (C) Representative images of apoptosis in each group. Oocytes were immunostained with Annexin-V-FITC. (D) The rates of early apoptosis were recorded in the Control, Aged, and Epitalon-treated oocytes. Data from more than 30 oocytes were analyzed for each group. Significant difference between the Aged and 0.1mM Epitalon-treated groups was observed (p < 0.05). Data are expressed as mean ± SEM of at least three independent experiments. Scale bar: 20 μm.
