Codonopsis pilosula polysaccharide attenuates Aβ toxicity and cognitive defects in APP/PS1 mice

CPPs alleviated cognitive impairments in APP/PS1 mice. 5.5-month-old C57/BL6 mice served as WT control and were treated with IG administration of normal saline for one month. 5.5-month-old APP/PS1 mice were treated with one-month IG administration of 100 or 300 mg/kg of CPPs, or with normal saline as positive control. At the age of 6.5 month, all the mice were assessed in behavioral tests. (AD) Open field tests and Elevated plus maze tests were used to assess the anxiety-like behavior of mice.
