Immune-mediated platelet depletion augments Alzheimer’s disease neuropathological hallmarks in APP-PS1 mice

Figure 1. Immune-mediated platelet depletion in APP-PS1 mice. (A) APP-PS1 mice were intraperitoneally injected with an anti-CD42b antibody (αCD42b) to induce thrombocytopenia. The injection of non-immune rat immunoglobulins (IgG) was used as a control. (B) Experimental setup. (C) Platelet depletion efficacy was monitored by whole-blood flow cytometry using an allophycocyanin (APC)-labelled anti-mouse CD41 antibody to label platelets (PLTs).
