The disturbance of thyroid-associated hormone and its receptors in brain and blood circulation existed in the early stage of mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease

Two weeks after stereotaxic injection, the expression of THRα and β in the hippocampus of the three groups of mice were detected by Western blot (A). The gray value analysis showed that the expression of THRα (B) and THRβ (C) protein were significantly higher than those of the normal and control group (****P < 0.001). However, there was no difference in the expression of THR between the control group and the normal group (P = 0.987 and 0.584, respectively). Normal: Mice without stereotactic puncture; control: The mice were punctured stereotaxically and injected with 5 μL of normal saline; OA: Mice were subjected to stereotactic puncture and injection of 5 μL of 0.1 μM okadaic acid.
