Alcohol consumption and epigenetic age acceleration across human adulthood

We categorized the Framingham Heart Study Offspring and Third Generation participants into three age groups: young (24–44 years, n = 690), middle-aged (45–64 years, n = 1866), older (6594 years, n = 1267). We conducted association analyses of long-term average and cross-sectional alcohol consumption with EAA metrics in each age group. We used the pooled sample to estimate to what extent GAA and PAA mediates the association between alcohol consumption and hypertension.
