ADSCs-Exo-miR-19a suppresses FBS-induced differentiation of keratocytes into myofibroblasts by inhibiting HIPK2 expression. Reduced HIPK2 levels suppress the TGF-β/Smad3 and p53 signaling pathways, and reduce the expression of pro-fibrotic markers and ECM components. Overall, these events decrease cell viability and ECM degradation.
