Identification of KIF4A as a prognostic biomarker for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

KIF4A was upregulated in ESCCs and ESCC cell lines. KIF4A expression was compared by qRT-PCR (A), WB (B), immunohistochemistry (IHC) (scale bar 50 um) (C) between tumor and corresponding non-tumor tissues in 25 ESCCs. Expression of KIF4A was detected in the ESCC cell lines by WB analysis compared with an immortalized esophageal epithelial cell line NE1 (D). Kaplan–Meier analysis showed the overall survival rate and disease-free survival rate of ESCC patients stratified by KIF4A expression (E).
