Tissue immunoexpression of IL-6 and IL-18 in aging men with BPH and MetS and their relationship with lipid parameters and gut microbiota-derived short chain fatty acids

(C) No significant changes in IL-18 immunoexpression were also observed in the prostate stroma (D), while in the case of glandular epithelial cells, an increase in the percentage of IL-18 positive cells was observed in the BPH + MetS group.
