class="figure-viewer-img"

Figure 7. Melatonin decrease ROS levels in nicotine-treated ovaries in vivo. (A) Representative images of ROS levels in control, intraperitoneally injected 1 mg /kg nicotine and intraperitoneally injected 1 mg /kg nicotine plus 1 μM melatonin ovaries. (B) Fluorescence intensity of ROS levels. (C) Level of mRNA of genes involved in oxidative stress, Glrx2, Gpx1 and Sod1, in control, intraperitoneally injected 1 mg /kg nicotine and intraperitoneally injected 1 mg /kg nicotine plus 1μM melatonin ovaries. (D) Protein level of AMPKα-1, mTOR, AKT and BCL-2 in control, intraperitoneally injected 1 mg /kg nicotine and intraperitoneally injected 1 mg /kg nicotine plus 1 μM melatonin ovaries were detected by western blot. The results are presented as mean±SD. All the experiments were repeated at least three times. * P < 0.05; ** P < 0.01.
