Figure 3. Flow chart of study design. The participation of dCDT was solely based on consent. In the FHS, we identified participants with dCDT measurements and DNAm. Five DNAm age metrics were calculated. Epigenetic (DNAm) age acceleration (EAA) was calculated by regression of the DNAm age metrics on chronological age. Primary analysis focused on the association between dCDT total scores and EAAs, whereas secondary analysis focused on the association between dCDT sub−domain scores and EAAs.
