Figure 2.Conceptual foundations of longevity medicine. Longevity medicine is presented as a life-course, prevention-oriented translational framework aimed at preserving functional capacity and extending healthspan. The framework integrates longitudinal assessment of biological aging, mechanistic geroscience, evidence-based lifestyle prevention, data-driven personalization, participatory care, and health-system implementation. While lifestyle interventions currently represent the strongest evidence base, several emerging tools—including biological-age biomarkers, multi-omic profiling, wearable-derived metrics, and AI-based risk stratification—remain exploratory or surrogate and require validation against patient-relevant outcomes before routine clinical implementation.
